Glacier Bay, Alaska

Glacier Bay, Alaska

Alaska is amazing for beautiful scenery, wildlife, and outdoor activity.

You can visit by rail, motorcoach, self-drive, or cruise. A popular option combines a rail tour with a one-way cruise. The Alaska railroad runs from Fairbanks to Anchorage with stops at Denali National Park. Denali National Park has the highest mountain peak in North America.

Peak season runs from late May through early September when roads are passable and wildlife is active. You can see and get up close to glaciers, try out dog sledding or dog carting, go fishing, whale watching, bear watching and eat lots of fresh seafood.

Some adventurous people go to Alaska in the winter for a northern lights aurora borealis tour.
